1. Describe Parkinson’s Disease
Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative disease. It commonly occurs at old age more than 50 years. It
is progressive disease. In Parkinson's disease the level of dopamine neurotransmitter becomes decreased
in the brain. Dopamine released from the substantia nigra of the basal ganglia of the brain. This organ
function becomes Decreased in old age, so Parkinson's disease occurs. Due to Decreased dopamine level
the brain functioning becomes disturbed. Sign and symptoms: - Tremors (pill rolling). Rigidity (cog
wheel) Bradykinesia. Mask like face. Drooling of saliva. Propulsive gait. Shuffling gait. Stooped posture
etc.
